Even so, there are better phones for just a little more money than the 530 case in point: the G4 Moto ($ 199 at Amazon). You get much best phone for $ 30 more, and it comes unlocked, ready to work on a wireless network (as opposed to just AT & T and T-Mobile for the Desire unlocked 530) .
The only reason I can see someone buy this phone instead of G4 G4 Moto or more boils down to personal style. In comparison, the Desire 530 offers a bit of flair and style while the G4 line seems rather boring. Sure, you can buy Motorola decorative back to add some color to the phone, but the 530 seems right out of the box.
Apart from this, the G4 and G4 Moto Plus are worth the extra cost. The Desire 530 just off of the performance, be it something as basic as the expectation of e-mail to load or more tax tasks such as fast switching between applications. You will end up waiting for applications to load, pages to fill, and eventually it will become boring.
This is not an unusable, but it is not a pleasant device to use either, and there are many better options.
