next-tablet hybrid Samsung device has officially landed. The company introduced the sixth generation Galaxy Note phablet 7 in New York Tuesday. It features the latest equipment, a sensitive pen pressure and a revamped interface, all packaged in a shiny metal and glass, water resistant shell. And for the virtual reality obsessed, Samsung announced a new GearVR helmet designed just for the Galaxy Note 7.
Meet the new phablet
You may be wondering why there is no Galaxy Note 6 this year. Indeed, Samsung has opted to skip this issue and go directly to number 7, so that its line of flagship phablet and family Galaxy Galaxy S7 and S7-Edge are directly aligned. Frankly, it makes sense to have both types of devices on the same page, so to speak.
The name change also illustrates that the Galaxy Note 7 features many of the same components as the Galaxy S7. This includes a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon able 820, 4GB of RAM, and a camera rear facing impressive 12 megapixel with dual-pixel technology. And although it has a larger 5.7-inch screen, it is just as dynamic as the small Super AMOLED screens found on the Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge. There is too the same resolution (2560x1440, or Quad HD), although the larger size will binge watch on your journey more comfortable.
The Galaxy Note 7 is not just a blown-up clone of his little brother. It has a battery of 3500 mAh (3000 mAh increase in the Galaxy Note 5, but curiously a bit smaller than the 30 mAh battery in the GS7 board) with both a rapid charge and wireless charging capabilities. It is also water resistant, so you can dip in the pool with nary a concern, and it is the first Samsung phone to abandon microUSB for the new standard USB-C.
It is interesting to note that this is the only Galaxy Note variant you get this year. previous rumors have pointed to both a flat version of the phablet device and an "edge" version that debuts, but there is only one Galaxy Note 7. On the positive side, it is a smartphone with curved edges is more comfortable to hold, not to mention more stylish than other phones of this size.

Looking for a sensitive stylus pressure in a smaller package? Take a look at the Galaxy Note 7.
To help you take advantage of this space to slightly additional screen, note 7 comes with a sensitive S-Pen pressure docked in the underside of the chassis. It is twice as sensitive to pressure than last year, and like its predecessor, you can accidentally push it back if you are really interested in cause you a headache.
The S-Pen software has also been slightly tweaked with some new features offers. And as rumors have suggested, note 7 does allow you to unlock your eyes with a new scanner of the retina, which is faster than the method thumb fingerprint scanner. The view of the periphery of the helmet was also slightly adjusted from 96 degrees to 101 degrees, and there is a dedicated button that takes you directly to GearVR shop and a library for easy viewing.
